I am using the 'dumb' interface model (which simply 'cat's the file to the port, without any 'stty' commands). The problem is that the printer seems to ignore the ^H (backspace) characters, so I can't do underlining or overstriking. The same printer connected to the Unix-PC (7300) using the "Epson" interface model (which is pretty much the same as the 'dumb' on the 3b2) works fine! I also tried twiddling the dqp10 interface model according to directions I found in some Unix book, but it didn't solve the problem. By the way, the printer has no switches. Since these printers are very popular, did anybody succeeded in connecting one to a 3b2 without this problem? Advice would be greatly appreciated.
