Lines: 18 Keywords: memory, block mode DMA I am in the process of putting together a microVAX II based data acquisition system in which it is intended to use DRQ3B's in block mode DMA. In some of the DEC related periodicals I have seen indications that not all memory boards support block mode DMA. This seems strange as I thought that block mode was function only of the DMA controller and how that controller used the bus. My question is therefore twofold: 1) Is is true that not all memory boards support block mode? 2) What is it about a memory board that would preclude using block mode? respond as you see fit: net, email, phone and thanks in advance P.
