I'm using the Greenleaf Comm Library, which sets up interrupt driven I/O-routines adressing the port chip directly. Works fine on most machines, but not on the NEC. After setting baudrate etc. for COM1 and putting the first string in the transmit buffer it takes some seconds, until the first char appears on the serial line, and only one character comes out, the other characters go into neverland. This happens approximately every second time, the other times everything works perfect. The communications program VTERM hangs up the whole machine with ~50% probabilty. Seems to me, as if interrupts are disabled or some area of memory is reserved by some utility, although I disabled all the NEC specials (popups, ram disk). Anyone any experience with this computer ?? Please help, I must get this software to run on the NEC !! Thank you Gerhard Pehland Quantec Tonstudiotechnik GmbH Munich W-Germany UUCP: ...!seismo!unido!qtecmuc!ger
