But, one thing perplexes me: I've called OKIDATA and they tell me that the width tables for their resident fonts are proprietary information. Why? Wouldn't freely releasing such information make their product more usable (or am I being too naive)? Does anyone have width tables for the non-HP fonts (the Helvetica and normal TMS ROMAN are exactly like their HP cousins -- for which width tables are readily available)?
