Regarding the u-emacs posting to comp.binaries.ibm.pc:

The file-eater managed to get most of the executable version before it
got to our site.  I got only part 5 (of 5).  If some kind soul would
mail me the first 4 parts, I could probably get my emacs fix in time
to survive. 

I am willing to forward missing parts to others in need of assistance,
once I complete my set.  I know that many of you don't send stuff like
this because you assume that everyone else already has, but it usually
works out that I am lucky to get anything.  So, a short note that you
are willing to supply missing parts would be a nice alternative.

There are no typos.  There are, however, noisy lines going into your
system, randomly dropping and changing characters.
