If your TRS-80 drive is single sided, then it could only read, write or format single sided MSDOS disks. MSDOS allows you to format single sided disks. The names of a couple of programs are: "Hypercross XT" and "Supercross". I believe they are written by Powersoft. If you look in any old "80 Micro" magazine, you should see their advertisement. If you need any assistance, feel free to send me e-mail at choset@eniac.seas.upenn.edu.ARPA. I believe our UUCP site is a machine called super, so if you can't get to ARPA try choset%eniac@super.UUCP . Please note that I am not a representative of Powersoft and am no way affiliated with Powersoft. Howie Choset University of Pennsylvania
