I've had some, not a lot. The key words here, folks, are "foisted" and "non-programming". Unix was developed by serious professional programmers FOR serious professional programmers. I have watched a many non-computer people get their first exposure to computers by trying to learn unix shell and vi simultaneously, and winding up hating computers. Unix is NOT a good environment for general office automation type stuff, even though it can an is being bent that way. Every place I work some clown sticks a clapped out VT100 clone on my desk and says I get to use Unix. Oh boy. Frankly, while MSDOS lacks many things, I'd rather use Wordstar than vi, any day. Enough on this subject. Maybe Apple (or ???) should develop a 'programmer's finder'. George (my other computer is now a NSC32532)
