The Mac is the only computer which I know of that dosen't have a fairly accessible "display this file" type command. Now, I realize that you can view screen files and {Mac|Full}Paint type pictures with the Backdrop DA, but why waste a valuable DA slot for a basic function. BTW, I think that ability to set a backdrop would be a nice thing to do... [Servant 0.95- already does this - I hope someone would add it to the Finder] These little functions don't have to be full-blown. Thats why we have word processors, text editors, paint programs, etc. All I want is the ability to view the stuff, not edit text nor create pictures. Finally, I think the Finder should be optimized a bit so that it can run a bit faster. Does anyone still remember Keeper by Hertzfield? Although it didn't work with switcher it allowed you to return to quit to the desktop in about 1-2 seconds. Is there a reason why Apple can't get something like that to work with the Finder, Switcher, and Juggler (opps - I mean the nonexistant switcher-like multitasking shell)?
