This time around I'd like to get a larger drive, probably something in the 40-80 meg range. Until recently I thought I'd go for something like a Dataframe XP40+40, but from talking to various people it appears that tape backup systems are not quite up to par yet w.r.t. reliability. So much for the XP40+40. So now I'm just looking at hard disk only systems. What do people think about the Apple HD80SC v. CMS 80 M external v. Jasmine Direct Drive 80. Since I'm currently on a Mac+ but plan on getting a the Mac II in the future the drive must be able to take advantage of the faster SCSI bus speed of the II. I would prefer not having to reformat the drive to gain optimal performance on the II, but I can live with it if the alternative is a drive that isn't up to Mac II speed. Facts, opinions, stories, and rumors solicited.
