   I am interested in doing music software development but would like
to avoid reinventing the wheel in one respect (at least!). How to
write the music staff screens and accept and interpret the user's
input to these screens. 
     If there is anything in the public domain (source code that is) or  
if anyone has anything they've developed privately and would be willing to
let me see it, I'd greatly appreciate your response. I'd even be willing
to pay something. Barring any direct source code type help, could anyone
recommend sourcesd of graphics interface info? Ann Landers was unreachable
and I can never get this posted onto "the Straght Dope".
