The Apple people I am talking too are being very careful about refering to the
new finder as a background tasker.  Initially the print spooler will be the
only thing programmed to be used thusly.  Other programs are on the way from
second party people.  It's the press in their usually uninformed and ignorant
rampages that are calling it multitasking.  Let's not blame Apple for the 
problems of the press.
