Multitasking on the Amiga is DEFINITELY useful. The type of program that could make effective use of multitasking on the Mac is not commonly available. Most Mac programs expect to interact with the user--including those that on the Amiga are written to detect whether they are running in foreground or background and act accordingly. Until Mac programs have had a chance to take multitasking into account, its utility on the Mac is considerably less than on the Amiga. Of course, the same obtains on most microsystems (e.g, the MSDOS systems) to varying degrees. --Alan "Wants a Mac II, works on a PC's LTD 386, owns a Stride" Lovejoy
