Message-ID: <3185@soma.bcm.tmc.edu> Date: Wed, 19-Aug-87 17:57:11 EDT Article-I.D.: soma.3185 Posted: Wed Aug 19 17:57:11 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 22-Aug-87 19:57:25 EDT Sender: masscomp@soma.bcm.tmc.edu Organization: Chesapeake Bay Institute, Physical Oceanography, Shady Side, MD 20764 Lines: 16 Keywords: Hayes clock chronograph Approved: masscomp@soma.bcm.tmc.edu Before I go writing my own versions...has anybody written or seen routines (or programs) to set and read the time using a Hayes Chronograph from a Masscomp? We have a couple Hayes clocks sitting around and when we go to sea with our 535 (ne 5500) we need a way to keep the time accurately between boots. (We have to shut down several times a day when the ship goes on or off shore power or synchronizes its motor-generators and need to keep the time sync'ed with previous events.) What I plan is to use a tty port but may be able to use an sl02 (if we have one spare). If nobody has one or more routines written I will do it and send them to the MUS Software Library. -- Bob Amen (amen@quequeg.UUCP) Chesapeake Bay Institute/Johns Hopkins University (+1 301 338-6329)
