DWB release 2.0 *has* programs for creating indexes.  You don't
need to hack up your own .IX macros or make any changes to your document.
The programs:

	ndx - create index
	subj - create subject list

will create a subject index automactically.  And they indeed work --
they were used to create the indexes in our Eroff User Manual.
