We'd also like to use a MacIntosh Plus with the Laserwriter. The Sun will be on an Ethernet, and the Mac will be on an Appletalk network. We felt that we could probably use a mechanical switch to switch the Laserwriter between the serial port on the Sun and a serial port on the Mac. However, we wondered if there were not some more elegant way of sharing the Laserwriter. ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop Administrivia to: desktop-request%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop-request Paths: {ihnp4,decwrl,hplabs,seismo,ucbvax}!sun Chuq Von Rospach chuq@sun.COM Delphi: CHUQ We live and learn, but not the wiser grow -- John Pomfret (1667-1703)
