My lab is trying out an RT PC running ACIS 4.2 (the IBM rep says it's "just like.2 BSD!), and my faculty supervisior said "Hook it up to our MicrovaxII's running 4.3". Since I've had a little trouble accomplshing this little task, I was wondering if there was any difference in TC/IP networking between 4.2 and 4.3 BSD? Is there a difference? Can a machine running 4.2 act as a client for a server running 4.3? Any help would be appreciated...
