Lines: 34 Has anybody got graphics screen drivers for either: - Hercules monochrome graphics or (future project) - NEC "power" graphics board (1120 x 750 pixels) for PC/AT compatibles (eg NEC APC-IVs), under (SCO) Xenix Sys V rel 2.2.1, 80286 version? Release 2.2 of Xenix-286 comes with rudimentary graphics support for CGA, EGA and PGA boards. While the manual entry for stty(1) claims that there is a "herc" option, the program denies this at runtime, and there is no mention of [Hh][Ee][Rr][Cc] in any of /usr/include/sys/*.h. Can I kludge a driver by: - opening the device as some other graphics device - bashing the hardware registers using ioctl() - copying a pseudo-screen bitmap or portions thereof to /dev/kmem? PS: If you're listening, SCO: Hercs are supported under Xenix-386, I believe, so why not on the 286? Is an upgrade imminent? Is Hercules support part of the CGI (Computer Graphics Interface) which comes with the 286/386 software Development System (Release 2.2)?
