I've been waiting for someone to mention it, and unless I've missed it no
one has, but there was an excellent article/interview in CACM this year
(April I think) in which the 360/370 designers talk about their architecture
and its development. A very interesting article which I recomend even to
those biased against Big Blue (such as I).
