Sorry to post this - but my Mail to ambush was returned 'host
unknown' so I thought I'd post.

Some people at Johns Hopkins ( I think ) wrote some RPC stuff for
an IBM mainframe so that a Pyramid running Ingres was serving
database info to the mainframe host. Wish I could be more
specific, but I think all the origional folk that did it are now
gone to other places and projects. Anyway, you might check with
Johns Hopkins.
