Sorry I can't give you any details (I don't remember it all), but
there were articles in various Unix publications over the last
year or so regarding UNIX/SNA drivers running on Unix hosts.  
This might give you the
data extraction capabilities you require...  If I find the
specific references over the next day or so, I will post them
