On the System V machines we have the Excelan software/hardware that provides socket access to tcp-ip. I would like to send mail between these systems. The problem is the System V machines use mail over uucp over Ethernet as a transfer mechanism and the 4.2BSD machines use SMTP over Ethernet to transfer mail. Does anyone know how I can get these machines to talk without much effort? I would prefer to use SMTP because I think it is a more standard solution. On possibility would be to run sendmail with SMTP built in on the System V machines. Does anybody have a version of sendmail that runs on System V? BTW, the Xenix System V machines are mostly 286 based PC's with all the address space problems. -- Mike Wexler UUCP: wyse!mike ATT: (408)433-1000 x 1330
