Does gnumacs support X in any special way?  For instance, can you
spawn off an asynchornously running C compile, and have its output
go to a [newly created] X window, rather than split the EMACS screen
and write it there?

Has anyone outher done extensive hacking to gnumacs to add new features
to it to support X or NEWS?
