The price is very good, so it is quite reasonable to buy a copy and see if you like it. Smalltalk-V is not very compatible with Smalltalk-80, so it will probably be difficult to port applications back and forth. However, if you aren't concerned about that, it may not matter. There are some versions of Smalltalk-80 for ATs. Last I heard they were very expensive (>$1000) but that was a while ago.
