When last I was in Japan ('85), Nintendo was selling a thing called the "Family Computer". They weren't selling their Entertainment System here at the time, and I've never taken a close look at the Entertainment System, but I believe it's virtually the same exact thing. It's possible if not probable that by now they have some kind of upgraded version in Japan, maybe a real computer at this point.
