I have seen a few messages about people having trouble running minix with ega's
attached. I also have the same problem, I am running an ATI ega wonder with an
ecd display. The screen will stop displaying characters although you can see
the cursor move, and the system still works fine. It is like driving blind. It
even happens when using mined. My guess is that it has something to do with 
the assembler code for horizontal blanking, the ega does its own at the chip 
level. I would like to hear from someone that has another explaination, or a 
fix for this problem.
