All I have been able to glean from poking around in the manuals and around my JNET/EXOS equipped Vax is the following: Mail will pass a file to a foreign protocol handler (e.g. EXOS or JNET) if the mail is sent to protocol%"ADDRESS". Protocol has an associated logical with it MAIL$PROTOCOL_protocol. If you have a JNET system, you will probably notice a logical called MAIL$PROTOCOL_JNET, similar items exist for EXOS. Where can I learn more ? There are no references to foreign protocols in the Mail Utility Reference or the Master Index.
