There are a great many messages of this form: Can somebody please tell me where I can get a copy of 'make' for VMS? To some of you, that might seem like a most reasonable request...if you know what "make" is. I see a lot of such requests naming programs which I have never heard of. Now, you might say, "well then, it's none of your business." You would be correct, except that I am on this net to learn about as much as possible. Please, everybody, when you ask for information about a program, or for a source of it, give a brief, even terse, description of what it is.
