Here is my reply. Our mailer couldn't reach him directly (old tables). There is a product from Virtual Microsystems called the "Bridge" that reads and writes CP/M floppies on an RX01 (probably on RX02's also). It also does a Z80 emulation so you can run your CP/M software on your VAX (although much more slowly). We had the Bridge several years back, and they may not sell the CP/M version anymore. So... it is possible. I think you can mount the disk foreign and read/write to/from absolute blocks. The disks are formatted the same, but the data put in particular sectors is different: directory data and such. You will, of course, have to know the format of a CP/M disk. Hope this helps.
