He bought it from a local Digital distributor to interface PUMA robot arm, but the local distributor seems to be totally ignorant about how to use it in VMS environment. Could anybody out there with similar experience tell me anything about this device ? Not helping this is the fact that Unimation (at least used) wont give out the interface details. I will see if I can find the driver I wrote 5 years ago. One immediate caution, he will have to jumper the two reset lines from the original LSI-11 interface over over to the interface card for the joint micro's. failing to do this will cause the controlers to come up in a bad way the first time you switch the power on (the main power, not the motor power switch) that causes the motors to come on FULL, ignoring limit stops, without the motor enable switch being hit, and ignoring the stop switch.
