I vote for the end bit. This has something to do with the class of service experienced, rather than desired, but thats ok. Maybe the other bit can be set on ack's to indicate congestion experienced on the packet(s) this is an ack for. (After all, its got to get back to the sender somehow. reduced offered window is one way, an explicit bit's another.) john
