I have had my hands on UUPC and SLIP for almost two weeks now and I have yet to have a chance to use them. I figure from the readings that SLIP will let me network my Amiga to a SUN or a VAX, or an Amiga, but I have yet to under- stand how. I hooked two Amigas together (for lack of a Sun or VAX) and I ran SLIP on both (the program called NET) and up came a window, but no help, other than a list of commands. Nothing I did had any real consequence. So I started asking around and no one I know has tried it yet. So I start asking about UUPC. Seems that people want to do something with it but no one is yet. I really want to hook UUPC up, so that I can get Usenet directly into my BBS. I just bought a 40 meg (that will last a week supporting Comp.Sys.Amiga) hard drive so that I can do this stuff. The real question of this posting is: Who do I talk to about these networking protocols, and/or What books do I check out of the library, and/or Is anyone else having problems getting it up. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Randy Spencer P.O.
