The KERMIT.INIT file that versions 3.76 or later looks for is a TXT
(or in DOS 3.3 'T') file containing legitimate Kermit commands as
lines followed by carriage returns (for example: SET FILE-TYPE TEXT)
You can use a KERMIT.INIT file to reconfigure kermit for the particular
system you plan to call.

Check the documentation file for more detail (I know that's a LONG
file, I recommend dumping it to your mainframe's printer).

When all else fails... read the directions!!
