The proper way to unsubscribe from a list is to send a command to
the server, not post a message on the list.

In the case of APPLE2-L send a message (email will do) to

LISTSERV@BROWNVM  <---- nota bene NOT TOO APPLE2-L!!!!!!!

SIGNOFF APPLE2-L
or
UNSUBSCRIBE APPLE2-L  (both commands mean the same thing).

When (and if) you want to stop receiving info-apple send the request
to info-apple-request@brl.arpa <--- NOTE THAT'S NOT info-apple@brl.arpa!!!
