Lines: 6 The question is what if any is the school's standard, and does it vary by ajor? Many schools have one standard, and some schools require that standard. Guessing, more schools probably standardize around MS-DOS than Mac, but that's just my guess. What will he use it for? Program development, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.? Given the answers, one can discuss the pros and cons of various machines.
