I'd appreciate, if you could manage it, a part number for that buffer chip
and instructions as to where to install it. I've been trying to get a
Tandon TM-100 to work with an IB Drive cable for quite some time. Even
with proper step rate, termination pack removed, etc .. the drive just
goes crazy. Explicit instructions (pin # to pin #) would help A LOT.
