Well, I just talked to my dealer today (I talk to him A LOT--I'm getting antsy), and he updated me on Mega arrival dates. He said that he talked to 'Atari' today (just annonymous 'Atari'--no names) and was told that, instead of shipping the Megas on October 1st, 'Atari' told him they would be announcing Mega introduction "early in October...." This announcement will apparently mean the 'official' introduction of the Megas into the market--it doesn't actually mean that Atari will start shipping on that day (although they say that it should be 'VERY' close to that day). Of course, if it is any thing like the way they shipped 520's, it could be up to 3-4 weeks after they start shipping before some dealers get their first units (this happened at the store I worked at in Oregon--Atari started shipping in California, then shipments went out along the south, up the east coast, across the north, and finally to Oregon--actually, we didn't get any from the first shipment, only from the second (or the first shipment of RGB systems...)). Hmmm.... a Mega in your Christmas stocking, anybody? Scott Udell UD140469@NDSUVM1.BITNET .
