When I I am running two BBS systems, one UNaXcess based on a 7300, the other XBBS on a 386. I have just about decided to move UNaXcess to the Xenix system, since XBBS uses a *lot* of Xenix speciffic locking features (and is better for it). I don't think it's impossible to make XBBS run elsewhere, but it will be a lot of work. While I'm speaking of BBS problems, I have a problem that hangs lines when a process tries to terminate. It results in a zombie process and hung line. I was told that it was fixed in 3.0 (it wasn't) and 3.5 (it isn't). Now people tell me it's fixed in 3.51. Before I invest any more in it, can someone tell me if there's a reason to believe the story this time? -- bill davidsen (wedu@ge-crd.arpa) {uunet | philabs | seismo}!steinmetz!crdos1!davidsen "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
