Finally, here is the latest word on the
upgrade of the Release 3.5 software
to the newer version 3.51, as just
learned from talking with Mary Severin
(201)581-6240  who handles the upgrades
for software under AT&T maintenance
contracts:

1) software currently under AT&T maintenance 
   will indeed be upgraded from release 
   3.5  to  3.51  at no additional cost.

2) unlike the earlier upgrade from
   3 to 3.5  (which was done at reduced 
   cost even when the software was not
   under maintenance contract), the upgrade 
   from  3.5 to 3.51 will require purchase 
   of the newer release if the software
   is not covered by a maintenance
   contract with AT&T.

3) the shipment of upgrades for software
   under maintenance will be made by the
   end of September 87 at the latest.
