i have some questions about adding a 3.5" floppy drive to
my AT&T PC6300 (an XT-compatible), running DOS 3.2.

i know how to do it for the 720K case; my questions are about 1.4M drives:

  1) do 1.4M drives exist that will run with my existing controller?
  2) if not, can anyone recommend a controller that will
     run in my 6300 and control a 1.4M drive?
  3) will the 1.4M drive be able to format and write 720K disks?
     i will need to be able to do this reliably, on a regular basis.

please also send recommendations for reliable, inexpensive sources
for these drives and/or controllers. thanks.
