You're right, the trailing backslash is needed. Are you sure, though, that you're not running out of environment space? Issue the SET command with no arguments to see your environment vars. Is PROCOMM among them? If not, you need more room. Also, you might try adding the drive specifier to the string, ie SET PROCOMM=C:\COMM\ (Come to think of it, this may be your problem). Kenneth Herron
