The 40 MB disk drive from COMPAQ costs ~$2000. He is wondering: 1) Is there a less expensive place to purchase a 40 MB disk (guaranteed to work, not a scam outfit) for the COMPAQ. It seems the drive is not a standard SCSI or ST-506 (might be ESDI?). 2) Can the drive coming out (20 MB) be used elsewhere, say a PC-XT class PC, or is it non-standard. Thanks in advance for any help, please respond to me and I will forward. Dave Alvin AT&T Bell Labortories, Naperville, Ill. (312) 979-3571 ihnp4!ihu1h!dwa
