If you would check the Sept. 1987 issue of BYTE, you will notice that they have : A) Apologized for multiple errors in their benchmark procedure. B) Redone the benchmarks under more accurate conditions. C) Are now admitting that the 3.1 sec fibonnacci sequence takes up to 57 seconds to run on their 80386. Why don't we move this discussion to email and give the net a rest.
