A conversation piece here pertains to our IBM 3812 laster printer which has a "Made in USA" stamp on the backplane board. However, the way it arrived, on the front panel there was the usual ID on a brushed aluminum plate that read IBM (big letters) 3812 (small) and on a white removable sticker below this was +-----------------------------------------+ | MADE IN JAPAN | | After installation, please remove label | +-----------------------------------------+ It has been some eighteen months and the label is still untouched. -Mitch
