Message-ID: <243@grpthry.UUCP> Date: Tue, 8-Sep-87 11:41:01 EDT Article-I.D.: grpthry.243 Posted: Tue Sep 8 11:41:01 1987 Date-Received: Thu, 10-Sep-87 04:20:48 EDT Organization: grouptheory systems inc., Ottawa, Canada Lines: 24 help, I have been pricing the CoCo III (N.B. I live in Canada, where prices are as high as an elephant's eye) and I am wondering whether it would be easier to upgrade my old CoCo II instead. As it stands the system I currently have has not been used much and it is an older version with an old keyboard (upgrade ~ $60), only 16K (upgrade to 64K ~ $70), and I would need a disk drive. What I would use it for mostly (to begin with) is as a TERMINAL. I loathe using a 32x16 screen, but I have seen that PFS (?) terminal can be used with an 80 Column mode. Is this upgrade worth while? Will I get enough computing power? Will I get a "usable" terminal? Is OS9 "usable" on a CoCo II? Please mail responses to me directly as I am sure people may get upset about a possible "holy war" between CoCo II and CoCo III users. alan whitton ..!utzoo!dciem!nrcaer!grpthry!alan or ..!utzoo!dciem!nrcaer!grpthry!gsi2!alan
