Yours actually went much later! Mine went after 2 years, before I went to 2 Meg or even to the new ROMS. At any rate, I got a new one for less than $150 from the dealer where I bought the Mac. I haven't heard about reconditioned boards, but that kind of thing would make me very nervous. Since the price for a new one isn't unreasonable, perhaps you ought to go with it ...
