When saving a file as a text file (with or without line breaks), the
style is force to NORMAL. I would rather have it save the file as a
text file but not change the file I am editing. Even if I use the "Make
Backup" option, the file I am editing is reformated to correspond to
the type of the backup.

The question is, is there a way to change the style used when saving
a text file?
