Lines: 15 Keywords: unpit system v usg I've modified the Unix unpit in two ways: it handles the System V 14-char file name limit it handles duplicate file names The second is semi-derivative of the first. If there are two files named, for example, "ERVision_Demo" and "ERVision_Demo_Doc", then on System V you would get just one version, named "ERVision_Dem" with a .d, .i, .r on the end. The fix I have done puts one of 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 as the first character of the file if a duplicate exists. Should I post? full source? diffs? Reid mnetor!unicus!rae@seismo.css.gov
