There is a much simpler assembly language environment available. Its original title was the "Macintosh 68000 Development System." It has been developed by the Consulair Corp. and for a while was marketed by Apple. Now, Apple has given Consulair the rights back again and its title has changed. It is a good, assembly language-only, development environment. The assembler isn't exactly the same as the MPW assembler, but it's very similar. Since the MPW shell isn't a part of this system, it is easier to use than MPW. Most things are done with menu commands. It's also much less expensive than MPW. Hope this helps.
