That's not a bug, it's the documented behavior of 2.11 news that unknown newsgroups are NOT stripped from the newsgroup line. This was debated here some months ago. You should get a copy of some patches I posted to news.software.notes several months ago that all but completely rewrite newsinput. The biggest feature is that all groups are checked against the news/active file before a new notesfile is created. Sorry, I can't send you the patches; they were done while I was at Mirror Systems, and at BBN I no longer care about notes (well, it has a warm place in my heart ;-).
