I have an application to send TV signals about 1 mile and I believe that
LASER modulation would be the best medium.  Has anyone investigated this or
seen refrences to this they could point me toward for further information?

I remember a Popular Electronics article using gas distcharge LASER's but I
would like to use diodes even though I have the tubes.
